A new issue of the Journal of Teaching Disability Studies is about to be published and we invite you to go behind the scenes for an in-depth conversation with some of the authors. 

• Dr. Lisa Boskovich kicks off the evening with a presentation of Intersectional Learning Dis/Abled Poetry as Teacher Education: A Phenomenological Study of Learning Dis/Ability Diagnosis of Two Scholars, an article she co-authored with Dr. David Hernández-Sana, Assistant Professor at the University of Northern Iowa.
   
• Dr. Brad Toland, who teaches high school history in addition to his work as an adjunct at the University of Alabama, brings the audience further into his experience of Incorporating Disability Studies into a Secondary U.S. History Classroom: The Radical Lives of Helen Keller.
   
• Dr. Andrew Lucchesi, Assistant Professor of English at Western Washington University, will talk about his article, Investigating the Cultural Locations of Disability in American Colleges and Universities: Campus, Curriculum, Culture​. 

Guiding the conversation and audience Q&A will be Dr. Mariette Bates, Academic Director of the Disability Studies Programs at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, and Professor Matthew Conlin, Managing Editor of the Journal of Teaching Disability Studies.
